Georgia Runoff Election Challenge #2

Twelfth Congressional District Republican Committee v. Raffensperger

Lawsuit filed by the 12th Congressional District Republican Committee and individual Georgia voters against the Georgia secretary of state, State Election Board and Richmond County Board of Elections challenging the early processing of absentee ballots, use of unattended drop boxes and signature verification processes for the 2021 Georgia Senate runoff elections. The Democratic Party of Georgia and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) successfully intervened in the case, which was eventually dismissed by the district court. The 12th Congressional District Republican Committee appealed the decision to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, but then voluntarily dismissed the case.

This case was one of the lawsuits former President Donald Trump and his allies brought in an effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
