The Westerville City Schools Board of Education will meet in special session for the annual GEM Awards at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Westerville North High School, 950 County Line Road in Westerville.

Westerville City Schools and the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce are collaborating on a new initiative that raises awareness about local workforce needs and aims to build a talent pipeline that starts in the classroom.

Emerson Elementary has received the Purple Star designation for its commitment to serving military-connected students and their families, while Westerville North High School’s Purple Star designation has been renewed for another three years, officials with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce announced this week.

Westerville North High School seniors Eyon Robinson and Caroline Tenney were among teens from 23 Central Ohio high schools who received the 2024 Syntero Catalyst for Positive Change Award.
